When you have important questions, you want answers straight from the source.

That’s what we’re here to do with AskAnAdventistFriend.com.

This site is operated by devoted and active Seventh-day Adventists who want to answer your questions.

Most of our content is based on common questions about the Christian Protestant denomination of Adventism and its beliefs and culture—as well as general questions about faith, spirituality, and the Bible. When we receive additional questions or topic requests, we do our best to add them to our publishing schedule in a timely manner.

Every piece of content we publish on AskAnAdventistFriend goes through a thorough review process so we can provide you with comprehensive, straightforward, biblically-sound answers.

Our Philosophy

When Jesus walked this earth, He was our perfect example of what it means to be a godly person. He tended to the needs of those around Him. He ate with sinners and loved the outcasts.

Instead of forcing religion or spouting complex information at those around Him, He knew the most effective way to bring people to God was to lead them in love.

That is what we believe we are called to do: lovingly lead people to God.

We all have questions we don’t want to ask just anyone. When that happens, it’s helpful to have a friend you can talk to freely, one who is willing to help you find those answers.

Whatever questions you have, we’ve probably had them before, too! (Even the embarrassing or silly ones.) And because we understand where you’re coming from, we want to help. With AskAnAdventistFriend, you can have peace of mind that you’re getting the most accurate information possible, straight from the source.

Who are Seventh-day Adventists?

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Christian Protestant denomination that began in the United States in the mid-to-late 1800s. It began because of a growing group of Christians who felt a deep conviction to study Scripture more thoroughly.

Today, there are 21 million Adventists around the world. You’ll also find Adventist hospitals, school systems, medical and dental schools, relief and outreach ministries, missionary programs, and more.

Each of Adventism’s core beliefs are firmly founded in Scripture. Adventists seek to live a Christ-like life, growing closer to God every day.

It is God’s will that everyone join Him in Heaven (2 Peter 3:9), and as Adventists, we strive to be an active part in completing Jesus’ Great Commission:

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
– Matthew 28:19, 20 (NKJV)

Spreading the Good News to all the nations is what drives Adventists. Through our ministries, we hope to expand the Kingdom of God.
